Ways to Give:

Examples of Direct Gifts

Cash, check or credit card:  Quick and easy allowing immediate benefit to the Home -
VISA and MasterCard are accepted!          
  • Personal Property:  Transfer of liquid assets that the home may use or sell, using the proceeds from the sale.  Examples include cars, real estate, jewelry, and other assets of high value.  Contact the Masonic Home for Children to inquire about donating personal property!
     
  • Securities:  Stocks, Bonds or Mutual Funds are wonderful and valuable gifts that  the Home can manage or liquidate and allow you, the donor, to avoid capital gains tax and receive a charitable deduction.

  • Memorial Gifts:  A special way to remember a loved one or an influential person in your life.  A letter of acknowledgement will be sent to you and to family or friends that you designated informing them of your memorial(s) This is a touching way to help the children while honoring the life of a dear friend.
     
  • Honorary Gifts:  Let someone know how much you care about them with a honorary gift.  Letters informing the person(s) of your gift to the children in their honor will be mailed and will demonstrate your care and admiration, while helping the life of a child.

Give to the Home With the Help of Your Employer

Many of America's largest companies' offer a matching gift program...contributing to The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford because you do; in some cases, up to 200%, giving $2 for every $1 you give.  In addition, as part of their annual charity drives, your employer will allow you to contribute to MHCO as a company charity.  Contact your Human Resource Department today to find out how you and your employer can contribute to the Home and help a child together.  Here are some of the companies that currently include The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford as a charity or in matching gifts programs.

Foundation Gifts

From its early beginnings to present day, Foundation Gifts have literally built our campus and sustained its mission.  As a state licensed 501(c) (3) residential foster care facility, The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford is eligible for many foundation grants, specifically those involving children.  You can help by informing the Home of these foundations and by involving those on Foundation Boards in our cause.  Please contact the Financial Development Department at the Home for all Foundation inquiries.

Sponsorship

Individuals, businesses, Masonic Lodge, civic organizations, and clubs are all eligible to finance trips, holidays, and special occasions at The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford   Donors may choose to financially sponsor a child for a holiday, a summer vacation trip, a holiday dinner for the Home or a special event during the year for an entire cottage.   Email the Financial Development Department to learn more.
