The Community Support Center at The Masonic Home for Children is pleased to announce that we have received a $1,800 Spark Good Local Grant from the Walmart in Henderson. This generous support will directly strengthen our emergency financial assistance program, which provides critical help to families experiencing unexpected hardship.
Each year, hundreds of individuals and families in our community face crises that threaten their stability; whether it’s the loss of income, a medical emergency, or an urgent need for basic necessities. Our emergency assistance program helps bridge these gaps by providing short-term support for essential needs such as food, shelter, utilities, rent, transportation, baby items, and clothing. These services play a vital role in keeping families safe, stable, and connected to the resources they need.
The funding from Walmart will allow us to respond more quickly and effectively when families reach out in moments of need. By helping prevent evictions, avoid power disconnections, address food insecurity, and ensure access to essential items, this support contributes to long-term community well-being. When families are able to maintain stability through difficult times, they are better positioned to pursue opportunities, regain independence, and move forward with confidence.
We are grateful for this partnership and for Walmart’s commitment to initiatives that help people live better. Their investment reflects a shared dedication to supporting local communities and ensuring that families have access to the resources they need during challenging moments.
The Community Support Center remains committed to reducing hardship, strengthening families, and promoting a more resilient community for all. Support from partners like Walmart helps make this mission possible. Thank you Walmart!
