Join us for an unforgettable evening at Time for the Kids, the annual black-tie gala benefiting the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford. The event will take place on June 20, 2026, at the Oasis Shrine Temple in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The evening begins with a social hour at 5:00 p.m, followed by a plated dinner at 6:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy both silent and live auctions featuring a variety of exciting items, including artwork, vacation getaways, gift baskets, and tickets to sporting events. We will enjoy live music from Musically Yours.
We are honored to welcome Devante Hicks as this year’s keynote speaker. A proud alumnus of the Masonic Home for Children, Devante’s journey is a powerful testament to resilience, determination, and the lasting impact of a supportive community.
During his time at the Home, Devante lived alongside his siblings and developed a deep commitment to building a better future—not only for himself, but for those around him. Guided by that vision, he has gone on to dedicate his life to service, now working at the Department of Juvenile Justice. In this role, he works tirelessly to redirect the lives of young people, offering guidance, structure, and hope to those at a critical turning point.
Devante’s story comes full circle as he continues to give back, using his experiences to inspire and uplift others. His passion for helping youth reflects the very mission of the Home; to provide stability, opportunity, and a path forward. His message is one of perseverance, purpose, and the profound difference that care and support can make in a child’s life.
Time for the Kids is the Home’s premier fundraising event. Proceeds from sponsorships and ticket sales directly support academic, vocational, spiritual, and recreational programs that enrich the lives of the children we serve.
